This award is open to organisations that have transformed their products or services to be more sustainable, incorporating eco-friendly materials, reducing waste, or improving the product lifecycle to minimise environmental impact. The judges will want to understand how your organisation has integrated sustainability into product design, manufacturing, distribution, or end-of-life processes. You must explain what you have achieved so far, particularly in the past 18 months, and what you plan to achieve in the future. Evidence of a well-defined strategy with clear targets, measurable outcomes, and year-on-year comparisons is essential. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a structured plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Organisation Background: Describe the size and nature of your organisation, including your product range and sustainability journey. Highlight relevant certifications, benchmarking, or external validation of green product initiatives.
  • Sustainable Product Strategy: Outline your approach to transforming products or services to be more sustainable, including key objectives, material innovations, and measurable targets.
  • Implementation & Innovation: Summarise key initiatives undertaken, such as material sourcing improvements, eco-friendly production methods, circular economy strategies, or energy-efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Consumer Awareness: Explain how employees, suppliers, and customers have been engaged in the green product transformation. Describe training, marketing, and communication efforts to drive adoption and awareness.
  • Outcomes & Measurable Impact: Provide quantifiable results, such as reductions in carbon footprint, waste, water usage, or non-sustainable materials. Include year-on-year comparisons and real-world examples of success.
  • Future Goals & Continuous Innovation: Outline future plans for sustainable product development, upcoming innovations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
