This award is open to organisations that have transformed their supply chain to be more sustainable, reducing environmental impact through responsible sourcing, logistics, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements. The judges will want to understand how your organisation has embedded sustainability into its supply chain, including efforts to minimise carbon emissions, optimise transportation, and engage suppliers in green initiatives. You must explain what you have achieved so far, particularly in the past 18 months, and what you plan to achieve in the future. Evidence of a well-defined strategy with clear targets, measurable outcomes, and year-on-year comparisons is essential. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a structured plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Organisation Background: Describe the size and nature of your organisation, including the scope of your supply chain and sustainability journey. Highlight relevant certifications, benchmarking, or external validation of green supply chain initiatives.
  • Sustainable Supply Chain Strategy: Outline your approach to transforming your supply chain to be more sustainable, including key objectives, responsible sourcing policies, and measurable targets.
  • Implementation & Innovation: Summarise key initiatives undertaken, such as supplier sustainability programs, carbon footprint reduction in logistics, waste minimisation, ethical sourcing, and technology-driven efficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Supplier Collaboration: Explain how employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders have been engaged in the green supply chain transformation. Describe training, partnerships, and collaboration efforts to drive sustainable practices across the supply chain.
  • Outcomes & Measurable Impact: Provide quantifiable results, such as reductions in carbon emissions, energy use, water consumption, packaging waste, or improved supplier sustainability ratings. Include year-on-year comparisons and real-world examples.
  • Future Goals & Continuous Innovation: Outline future plans for sustainable supply chain improvements, upcoming innovations, and continuous development initiatives.
