This award is open to organisations that have implemented innovative water management strategies to reduce consumption, improve efficiency, and enhance water sustainability. The judges will want to understand how your organisation has transformed water usage, including efforts to conserve water, reduce waste, implement recycling initiatives, and protect water resources. You must explain what you have achieved so far, particularly in the past 18 months, and what you plan to achieve in the future. Evidence of a well-defined strategy with clear targets, measurable outcomes, and year-on-year comparisons is essential. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a structured plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Organisation Background: Describe the size and nature of your organisation, including water usage challenges and sustainability journey. Highlight relevant certifications, benchmarking, or external validation of water conservation initiatives.
  • Water Transformation Strategy: Outline your approach to water conservation, efficiency improvements, and sustainable water management, including key objectives and measurable targets.
  • Implementation & Innovation: Summarise key initiatives undertaken, such as water recycling systems, rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment improvements, and technology-driven efficiency solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Awareness: Explain how employees, customers, and stakeholders have been engaged in water conservation efforts. Describe training, awareness campaigns, and collaboration initiatives to promote sustainable water use.
  • Outcomes & Measurable Impact: Provide quantifiable results, such as reductions in water consumption, improved water efficiency, reduced wastewater discharge, and cost savings. Include year-on-year comparisons and real-world examples.
  • Future Goals & Continuous Innovation: Outline future plans for water sustainability, upcoming innovations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
